RYA Intermediate Powerboat

Develop your powerboat handling skills with our RYA Intermediate Powerboat (Day Cruising) course, ideal for anyone wishing to pursue their RYA Advanced Powerboat course or improve on their current skills.

Run over 2 days, students will spend their time engaging in intensive planning and navigation exercises, gaining the confidence to manage some of the more demanding powerboating opportunities whilst surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Falmouth Harbour and the Fal Estuary.

Planning and Navigation: Develop and execute pilotage and passage plans on paper and using electronic navigation aids
Berthing Techniques: Learn to berth in various situations, adapting to different conditions
High-Speed Pilotage: Understand the effects of rough sea conditions and practise high-speed pilotage during daylight hours.

Minimum age 16 years
Candidates must be up to standard of Powerboat Level 2 Handling
Candidates are recommended to have your RYA First Aid certificate and VHF licence
