Pre-course requirements

Students must;

Be a minimum age of 18
Hold a RYA membership
Hold a RYA First Aid or STCW Elementary First Aid certificate
Hold a RYA Advanced Powerboat Course Completion
Hold one of the following Certificate of Competence:
- RYA Advanced Powerboat
- RYA Yachtmaster Coastal/Offshore (motor)
Hold a Commercial Endorsement (Advanced Instructors who do not hold a valid commercial endorsement will only be able to teach Intermediate powerboat)
Successfully complete a Health declaration form or medical questionnaire
